WELCOME TO VFW POST 4795 STOUTEN-KENDIG-MILLER

Veterans Supporting Veterans and Our Community
As America's defenders of freedom we welcome military members that have served, or are serving today, into our organization that supports veterans and our communities.  Our common bond is serving our nation overseas, whether it was service in Korea, Vietnam, the Balkans, Southwest Asia, the global war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA 2024 ... IN WINDBER!

Our Post Auxiliary is now assisting with the local "Wreaths Across America" program and we encourage everyone to purchase wreaths to place on veteran's graves in Windber before Christmas each year.  The annual nationwide wreath laying in 2023 was held on Saturday December 16th.  Thanks to your donations we received 880 wreaths to emplace on Veterans' graves at Windber cemeteries with the help of many volunteers.  Thank you!  Our goal in 2024 and beyond is to lay a wreath on each of the nearly 1,200 veteran graves at Windber area cemeteries.

For the Wreaths Across America event on Saturday 14 December 2024, if you purchase 2 wreaths the program will donate 1 more wreath free of charge.  More information is posted on our bulletin boards or contact Lory Borischak at 814-659-5050.  Here's the online internet link to easily purchase wreaths that honor veteran graves in Windber cemeteries (NOTE:  DO NOT purchase wreaths without ensuring you purchase the wreaths that support the VFW auxiliary in Windber!):
