Veterans Supporting Veterans and Our Community
As America's defenders of freedom we welcome military members that have served, or are serving today, into our organization that supports veterans and our communities.  Our common bond is serving our nation overseas, whether it was service in Korea, Vietnam, the Balkans, Southwest Asia, the global war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Our programs support our service members while they are on the front line, as they are being discharged and long after they return. Your tax-deductible donation will be immediately directed to the VFW programs where your support is most urgently needed.

Our Post Auxiliary is now assisting with the local "Wreaths Across America" program and we encourage everyone to purchase wreaths to place on veteran's graves before Christmas.  The annual wreath laying this year is on Saturday December 16th.  If you purchase 2 wreaths the program will donate 1 more wreath free.  Information is posted on our bulletin boards or contact Lory Borischak at 814-659-5050.  Here's the online process to purchase wreaths that honor veteran graves in Windber cemeteries:
